Final take!

This is my last take on Slumdog Millionaire....even though I did not really love the movie, I can't seem to stop blogging about it.

Dear politicians,
I know the elections are round the corner.
Firstly, Slumdog is not an Indian movie. Period
Stop calling it your own and cashing in on the success of the movie
Giving the child actors of the movie MHADA homes is not going to ensure you many votes in your account. There are millions of others who could do with the same and probably much more (read as basic human resources)

Secondly to the others,
We do not need the west to tell us our problems. But if we dont wake up, we probably need a british guy to make a film

And another thing that i was thinking about was if the credit shud go to Vikas Swaroop, the author of Q and A or the script writer??
We tend to get excessively euphoric about international recognotion. Even to the extent that I heard someone say that the movie won because it potrayed the human spirit and in the time of recession, it was all the jury could think about.

P.S: Gandhiji was nominated 14 times for the nobel peace prize and never won, but that does not make him less of a hero ....does it???

Second glimpse!

Well firstly everyone is going gaga over Slumdog millionaire. I could not care less if it had not won best picture, director and all those technical awards.
I am happy that A. R Rehman (read as genius) won not one, but 2 awards though!

Coming back to the actual intention of the post....I saw caught a "second glimpse" of JOHN ABRAHAM..
I saw him at Carter road in a white gypsy...
Earlier i had seen him at the Mumbai Marathon....He was at the start line cheering on everyone and it dint really help coz we all stopped in our tracks on seeing him.....he was more of a distraction!!!

But all in all the mumbai marathon was a great experience
I ran the dream run wich is 6km and i felt so good on completing it..it was a sense of achievment and satisfaction
People kept toking abt the "spirit of mumbai" wen the marathon was on
Well the energy level was definitely high but i have reasons to believe it was more of the human spirit. A marathon anywhr else wud have also garnered the same response

and coming back to my sports, well i am not playing anything as of now and its only work, work and work :(

P.S: Thank you for making my birthday special :)

Wishful thinking

I wish some things in life could be changed.

I wish some things in life never change.

Speaking of wishes, i just had my sports day in the company
People anyway have begun to think that I am in a sports based company (if there is something like that) rather than a pharmaceutical company. I just had the most amazing last few months and i now wish that I could play more.
It was great to go to work and then stay back and play matches, discuss matches and performances. They are so enthusiastic about sports that conference rooms are booked just to discuss team strategies for the matches.
I was so much into these games that my friends would ask me if the company pays me for this and if that indeed is the case, they were more than willing to join my company!!

But it had to end someday like life itself.
It's funny how life teaches us to value things by taking those very same things away.

Once again I wish I could change things and bring back those who are dear to us.
I wish death was not such an integral part of life and thats the irony
